What does it mean to be physically fit?

To me, physical fitness is associated with performance and physique. To be physically fit means I have the ability to perform optimally in all the physically active demands required of me in life and in recreation. It means I have the strength to move, carry, push, pull, or lift a variety of objects. It means that I have the cardiovascular endurance to sustain those activities without major fatigue. And it means I have the mobility and flexibility to move freely without tension and limitations that may cause injury. Lastly, to be physically fit means I have maintained a healthy weight and body fat composition which contributes to further energy and vitality to perform well in all physical activities.
