What To Do

Enjoy a Morning Hike at Torrey Pines State Park

About Torrey Pines

Torrey Pines State Reserve is located in San Diego, Ca. It is a pristine and peaceful oceanside hiking trail that offers an escape into the ambience of natural wildlife.

Address: 12600 N Torrey Pines Rd, La Jolla, CA 92037

Hiking Tips & Information

Torrey Pines is an easy to moderate hiking trail that is a total of about 5 miles. It will typically take up to 2 hours to complete (depending on where you park). There is a parking lot at the bottom of the park entrance near the beach which has a $15 fee to park for the day. I highly recommend getting to the park early to beat the traffic and over-crowded trails.

Elixir Organic Juice Bar

About 10min away from Torrey Pines is the Elixir Organic Juice Bar located in Del Mar. A perfect spot to recover after a long hike. I loved all organic cold-pressed juice options on the menu. The menu also consists of smoothies and acai bowls as well.

Juice Recommendation: The Americana: Beets, Orange, Apple, Cucumber

Enjoy a Relaxing Afternoon at The Flower Hill Promenade

The Flower Hill Promenade is a nice place to hang out, relax, shop, and eat. It is a super artsy and creative spot as well. There is also a spot for relaxing while listening to live music and outdoor areas for kids to play.

I hope this post is a helpful guide to spending a healthy and active day in the San Diego area. Starting the day off hiking at Torrey Pines is an absolute must do. You will get a great active workout in amongst beautiful nature and ocean views. There are plenty of food and drink options in the area but I definitely really enjoyed the post-hike drink at Elixir juice bar and the afternoon lunch at Flower Child in the Flower Hill Promenade.
