Getting There

Where to Park?

  • There is free parking along the street near Alta Laguna Park.
  • Alta Laguna Park also provides a free parking lot but it typically fills up quickly.
  • Option to park along the street by Laguna Beach High School for an extra 1.5 mile hike up towards the trailhead.

Trail Guide

Start Here

This sign below marks the entry into the trailhead near “Top of the World” look out point. Start here and make your way around to the West Ridge Trail. On a clear and sunny day the “Top of the World” look out point offers beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island.

Find the Map

Past the trailhead is a trail map to guide you through the park. Find West Ridge Trail in green. This trail starts at Top of the World and travels down to Rock-It trail in red.

Difficulty

West Ridge Trail is an easy, flat, and straightforward 2 mile trail. No strenuous inclines.

Here is the starting point for West Ridge Trail. 2 miles to get to the end near Rock-it Trail.

West Ridge Trail Completed at Rock-it Trail

The Trail ends when you reach the Rock-it Trail post. To get back to the Top of the World trailhead just turn around and go back the same way you came for another 2 miles. A total of 4 miles completed once back at the Top of the World.
