Staying Fit in Laguna Beach, Ca

Greetings to my fit fam,

If you’re like me, you would probably rather spend time working out in nature under blue skies and palm trees. So here are three of my favorite places in Laguna Beach for an outdoor fitness venture soaking up some sunshine and fresh air.

Thousand Steps Beach

Location: 31972 Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, Ca 92651

Parking & Tips

Arrive early to find parking along PCH and to avoid the crowd. I like to get there when I can have the stairs all to myself. Be prepared for a strenuous leg burn and some sore calf muscles. Just wait for the endorphin rush to kick in and make you feel completely high on life. Not to mention the beautiful ocean views that make it all worth it.

Top of the World

Location: 3300 Alta Laguna Blvd, Laguna Beach, Ca

Parking & Tips

I love that parking is free here and it’s the only hiking area in Laguna that is dog friendly. There is a parking lot available next to the playground and bathroom area. It usually fills up fast on the weekends but additional parking is available along the side of the street. Bring a camera because the ocean views here are amazing. On a clear day you can see Catalina Island perfectly.

El Moro Canyon Trail

Location: 8681 N Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, CA 92651

Parking & Tips

This trail is apart of Crystal Cove State Park. There is parking in the campground area past El Morro Elementary school. The entry fee is $15 for the day but this allows you to access the beachside of Crystal Cove as well. Overall the hike is pretty mild for a fitness enthusiast. A few short inclines to hike up but majority of the trail is an easy flat surface. The only downside is that it’s not a dog friendly trail.

Next time you’re in Laguna Beach for a fitness adventure I hope you take advantage of these three epic spots. If you ever visit please comment below and share your experience. Would love to hear from you!

peace & love,

McKenzie ❀
